About this page
Dhundo is a product search engine for Pakistan. You type what you are looking for once, and it searches across the online stores it covers rather than making you open a dozen tabs and compare by hand.
How Dhundo works
A search runs in three steps. First your query is read for intent - what kind of product you mean, and any brand, size or price signal in the words you used. Second, that query is sent out to the store scrapers in parallel rather than one after another, so the wait is roughly the slowest store rather than the sum of all of them. Third, the results that come back are normalised into one shape, scored for how well they actually match what you asked for, and ordered so the closest matches lead.
What you get back is a single list you can read top to bottom, with the price each store is asking and a link straight to that store's own product page. Nothing is bought on Dhundo - the link takes you to the retailer, and the transaction is between you and them.
What it covers
Dhundo covers more than 130 online stores in Pakistan, spread across three scraper servers. They range from the large marketplaces everyone knows to single-brand shops that only sell their own catalogue, which is where a price difference is most likely to be worth finding.
Products are grouped into eleven categories - mobile, electronics, fashion, home, beauty, sports, books, food and grocery, automotive, toys and kids, and pharmacy. Each category has its own page listing what has been priced in it so far.
Who it is for
It is for someone who already knows roughly what they want to buy and wants to know which store is asking the least for it. That is a narrow job, and Dhundo is built for that job rather than for browsing.
It is most useful on items where stores genuinely disagree on price - phones, small appliances, cosmetics, branded clothing. On items where every store charges the same, it will tell you that quickly, which is also worth knowing.
What Dhundo does not do
It does not sell anything, hold stock, take payment, or ship. Every purchase happens on the retailer's own site under their terms, and any problem with an order is between you and that store.
It does not show live prices. A price is what the store was showing the last time Dhundo read that listing, so check the store page before you buy - especially during a sale, when prices move hourly.
It does not cover every store in Pakistan, and coverage is uneven between categories. A store missing from the results has not been judged; it is simply not one of the stores currently covered.
It does not host reviews or ratings of its own. Sponsored products do exist - in a labelled strip above the results and as labelled cards at fixed positions inside the grid - but paying does not change where a product sits in the ranked order, and every sponsored placement is marked as one.

- Is Dhundo free to use?
- Searching and comparing prices is free. Paid plans exist and add larger search allowances and some extra tools; the pricing page lists what each plan currently includes, because plan contents are managed in the admin panel rather than fixed in the code.
- Do I buy from Dhundo?
- No. Dhundo shows you where a product is listed and what it costs there, and the link sends you to that retailer's own site. The order, the payment, the delivery and any return are all handled by the store, not by Dhundo.
- How current are the prices?
- Each price is the one shown on the store's listing the last time Dhundo read it, not a live lookup performed while you wait. Treat it as a strong signal about where to look rather than a guarantee, and confirm on the store page before paying.
- Why does a search take a few seconds?
- Because it is really searching. Each query goes out to many store sites at once and waits for them to answer, so the total time is close to however long the slowest store takes rather than the sum of all of them.
