Clothes and shoe prices in Pakistan: what the data shows

Is that shirt expensive for Pakistan, and how would you tell?

Written from Dhundo’s own price data. Reviewed 2026-08-08; figures from the 2026-08-08 data snapshot.

Fashion is the hardest category to compare, and it is worth saying why before quoting a single number. Two listings called "embroidered lawn 3-piece" can be different fabrics, different stitch counts and different brands, so a price gap between them is often not a gap at all. This guide is about reading fashion prices with that in mind, anchored on 4,422 listings Dhundo has classified from 34 stores.

The shape of the market Dhundo can see

Across a sample of 2,266 fashion listings, the midpoint price is Rs 2,060, and eight in ten sit between Rs 750 and Rs 6,719. That is a much tighter band than electronics or phones, and the tightness is the finding: clothing in this corpus is a high-volume, low-ticket category where a few hundred rupees is a meaningful difference.

It also has the widest storefront spread of any category here - 34 distinct stores in one sample, against 11 for phones. Fashion in Pakistan is retailed by brands directly far more than electronics is, and each brand is its own storefront rather than a shelf inside a marketplace.

Why the same name is not the same garment

In this sample, 8 items appeared in more than one store under matching titles, with a typical gap of 46.4%. That gap is large compared with phones, and the reason is not that one store is gouging.

It is that a matching title in fashion frequently is not a matching product. "Wide leg trousers" describes a shape, not an item. Two listings can share every significant word in their titles and be a chain-store basic and a designer piece. Dhundo does not claim otherwise, which is why this guide quotes the typical gap rather than parading the largest one as a saving.

The practical consequence: in fashion, use the comparison to find stores you had not considered, not to arbitrate between two prices for one garment. Cross-store price arbitration works when a product has a model number. Clothing rarely does.

What actually drives a clothing price here

Fabric and piece count do most of the work. A one-piece unstitched shirt and a three-piece suit share a category and a brand and sit at very different prices, and the piece count is usually in the title rather than in a field, which means it is on you to read it.

Stitching status is the second. Unstitched is cheaper on the listing and carries a tailoring cost you pay separately, so an unstitched price and a ready-to-wear price are not comparable numbers even when they sit next to each other.

Size availability is the third, and it is invisible in a price. A listing showing the lowest price in a comparison may be the lowest because only one size is left.

Using the category page well

The fashion category page lists what Dhundo has classified, newest and most confidently classified first, with the store beside each price. Use it to see which storefronts exist for what you want; the brand names in that list are the part a search engine result page will not give you.

Then search the specific item. A search reaches stores the category page has never surfaced, because a product enters the classified set only after somebody has searched for something like it.

The return policy is part of the price

Clothing is the category where you are most likely to send something back, and the cost of doing that is not in any price shown on this site. A store with a fourteen-day exchange window and free return pickup is selling a different product from one that accepts returns only on a manufacturing fault, at the same listed rupee figure.

This matters more here than anywhere else because fit cannot be checked before delivery. On a phone, a price gap of a few thousand rupees between two stores is a straightforward saving. On a three-thousand-rupee garment, a store that is five hundred rupees dearer and takes returns is very often the cheaper option once you account for the times it does not fit.

Dhundo cannot see any of that. It reads listings, and return terms live on a policy page that is not attached to the listing. So the practical rule for this category is narrower than for the others: use the comparison to find the storefronts and the range, then choose between two close prices on the terms rather than on the rupees.

What this guide cannot tell you

It cannot tell you whether two listings are the same garment. Title matching is the only tool available on scraped listings, and in fashion it is a weak one - which is why no single "biggest saving" is quoted here, unlike the phone guide.

It cannot tell you about fit, fabric weight or colour accuracy. Those are the three things that actually decide whether a clothing purchase was good, and no price dataset contains them.

It cannot tell you what is in stock in your size. Prices are read from listings; availability at the moment you buy lives only on the store's page. Figures here were computed 2026-06-19.

Common questions

Why is the price gap between stores so much bigger for clothes than for phones?
Mostly because the products are not really the same. A phone has a model number and a storage size; a shirt has adjectives. Matching titles across stores works well for the first and badly for the second, so the measured gap in fashion mixes real price differences with products that were never comparable.
Does Dhundo cover Pakistani clothing brands or only marketplaces?
Both. The fashion sample behind this guide spans 34 distinct storefronts, and most of them are brands selling directly rather than a marketplace shelf.
Are these prices with or without delivery?
They are the listing prices as the store showed them. Delivery, stitching and any promotional code are applied at the store's checkout and are not in these figures.
